Wetback

Highly offensive slur against Mexican and undocumented immigrants crossing the US-Mexico border. References the crossing of the Rio Grande river and the wetness of the crossing. The term was also used in Operation Wetback, a 1954 US Immigration and Naturalization Service operation.
